New Bedford Ballet’s Youth Ballet performance of The Snow Queen is guaranteed to warm your heart. Inspired by Hans Christian Andersen’s 19th century fairy tale, audience members will experience the adventures of Gerda as she perseveres to save her best friend, Kiah, from the spell of the Most High Imp. While searching for Kiah, Gerda’s travels will take her to the Lady of Summer. The warmth and colors of the summer season will literally come to life, as flowers gracefully dance in celebration. Gerda continues her perilous journey, to the palace of the malevolent Snow Queen, where Gerda’s fearless determination to break the spell is eventually met with success.
